END OF SEASON WORKING PARTY
Sad as it is, we are now almost at the end of another successful cricket season so we need to start making plans to close the club until next spring.
As part of these plans, at the end of each season we tidy-up and close the club until the following year.
For this to be successful, we need as many volunteers of all ages as possible to help us do this.
We are therefore asking all of you to give just an hour or two of your time to help on
Saturday 27th September between 9AM and 2PM.
Among the tasks to be completed we have:
- Clean and tidy the clubhouse (including kitchen, bar and changing rooms)
- Sort through bar stock
- Clean out glass washer
- Empty kitchen fridge
- Sort bathrooms
- Take down sight screens
- Move rope to behind roller
- Tidy and clean out score box
- Clean out score box
- Sort out and tidy container
- Sort out junior kit and prep bags for next season by age group
- Repair gate to ground
- Any ground duties – strimming, cutting down trees, mud pile, sponsor signs etc
It doesn’t matter if you are a player, parent of a player, or a grandparent, your time would be extremely appreciated. We count this time worked towards our fundraising, so we can show to potential sponsors/grantees how much effort we put in (it really does help us get grants). The more people we meet, the better it looks for us.
