We are proud to announce the launch of the Dunmow Cricket Club Academy in 2026, a major step forward in our commitment to developing the next generation of cricketers.
The Academy will be led by Nick Down, a hugely respected figure at Dunmow CC with a rich history at the club. Having previously captained our 1st XI, Nick knows exactly what it takes to succeed in senior cricket. Alongside his work with Essex County Cricket Club, he brings a wealth of professional coaching experience, combining top-level expertise with his lifelong passion for Dunmow CC.
The Academy has been designed to give our young players the very best opportunity to learn, improve, and thrive in a supportive environment. With expert coaching and structured programmes, every player will be encouraged to reach their full potential.
As part of the launch, we will be inviting members of our Friday and Saturday junior cricket sessions to join the Academy, ensuring that the exciting young talent already within the club has the opportunity to continue their development in a more focused and professional structure.
The launch of the Academy marks an exciting new chapter in our club’s history, one that honours our proud traditions while looking firmly to the future. With Nick’s leadership and the commitment of the whole club, we are confident the Dunmow CC Academy will become the foundation for long-term success, both on and off the field.
